Annual Red Angus Bull Sale April 24, 2026
We at Kuhn’s Red Angus celebrating over 30 years in the Red Angus breed and what a great year to be in the cow calf business! The Red Angus female is commanding top dollar for her overall functionality in fertility, docility and mothering ability, and these are some of the key points that we at Kuhn’s Red Angus strive to do.
We are always excited to show our cattle and operation. Please give us a call and set up a one-on-one appointment and learn about our Red Angus program.
Kuhn’s Red Angus strives to bring you the best possible genetics by traveling throughout the nation looking for the best out there. We also try to achieve this through artificial insemination. Every female will go through the A.I. chute. By doing this we believe we can give you, the customer, a more complete bull.
Our herd as well as bulls in our sale are DNA and parent verified. Meaning you will know that not only the bull you purchase is out of that sire, but he is also out of the dam in the catalog, and she is verified to who she is. We believe that you should know that the genetics you are buying is what you are getting! We also GGP enhanced the EPDs. By doing this it will give you a more accurate picture of what you are buying. There have also been enhancements in the ET side of things as well, so you will also see more ET sons as well as sons that have come from ET daughters. This gives you the ability to turn out full brothers into your cow herds.

Thank you for your interest in our 31st year. It means more to us than we can express. As you may have seen or heard, we dispersed our younger group of cows. By no means are we getting out of raising Red Angus bulls for you, our customers. We merely cut our herd size down and, in doing so, we are using our new genetics that have a more interesting and diverse genetic package for you, our customers. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about the new genetics or would just like to visit about our bulls we are offering. You are also more than welcome to stop by the ranch and take a look for yourself! Now a little bit about the family! Kyah, our youngest, turned 9 in September, and is in 3rd grade. She loves going to school to hang out with her friends, but she is excited for the school year to end. She is currently on the 3rd grade girl’s traveling basketball team and is excited to get to play sports when she is older.
Brock, our youngest boy, will turn 12 in July and he is a 5th grader. Brock likes to stay home more than go to school and is an avid help with feeding and other work around the farm. Brock played football this past fall, and he enjoyed it as well! Hudson, our oldest boy, is an 8th grader this year, although he is the height of a senior! Hudson helps around the farm a lot, but he likes to get off it as much as he can! He enjoys going ice fishing, driving around or going to games in town. He was also in football this past fall and is currently in livestock judging with his oldest sister, Elodie! Reagen is the second oldest and she is currently a sophomore. She enjoys hanging out with friends and driving around town. She is in FCCLA, where she participated in District Leadership.
Finally, Elodie is the oldest, and she is a senior. She plans to attend South Dakota State University this fall for a major in animal science with pre-veterinary medicine emphasis. She is involved in FFA, where she is chapter president, FBLA, where she is chapter treasurer, Student Council, Honors Society, Drama, Speech and North Dakota Junior Red Angus. She will graduate this May as her class’s valedictorian! In closing, we would like to thank everybody for taking the time out of their busy schedules to support us! Sincerely, James and Stephanie Kuhn and Family
Please feel free to visit the ranches to look at the cattle before hand. They will also be at Napoleon Livestock on Thursday, April 23, by 5 p.m. for viewing before the sale. Remember, you can also bid online with DVAuction, or call one of our ringmen to help with phone bidding.
